CAA Takes Home Top Prize for Chipotle's 'Back to the Start' at Int'l Andy Awards

CAA and Chipotle continued their winning streak at ANDY awards in New York on Thursday night, picking up the top Grandy prize for its two-minute stop motion film, "Back to the Start." Earlier this week, the agency and marketer picked up multiple Golds at the Art Directors Club.
The film, which was commissioned by Chipotle to showcase its commitment to sustainable farming, is the food brand's first ever television advertising effort and was directed by Nexus's Johnny Kelly. It tells the story of a farmer who turns his farm into a large scale industrial animal factory before moving back to sustainable farming practices. The film also won two other Golds, for music (by duotone audio) and animation.
MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER won the Richard T. O'Reilly award for PSA work, for its "Slavery Footprint" campaign for anti-slavery organization Call + Response, an interactive Web site that showed you how many slaves worked for you, based on modern supply chain logistics.
Leo Burnett was one of the night's other big winners, winning 18 awards across multiple offices including Sydney, Toronto, Detroit, Mumbai, Shanghai, Chicago and Madrid. The network's Toronto office won multiple Golds for "Raising the Roof," a campaign to raise awareness about the plight of homeless teens.
Y&R won 10 awards, including four Golds, across its Melbourne, Santiago, New York, Malaysia, Sao Paolo and London offices. Its New York office won a copywriting Gold for Land Rover's "Pathological Liar" spot, while Melbourne took home two Golds for the AFL Game Signatures effort.
Wieden + Kennedy, last year's Grandy winner for Old Spice "Responses," won seven awards, including two Golds, one for ESPN's "Shake on It" spot and Jordan's "Melo" campaign, for media and special effects, respectively.
Production company MJZ earned six Andys: three Golds with BETC Euro RSCG for its wonderful TV spot for French broadcaster Canal+, "The Bear," directed by Matthijs van Heijningen. It also won a Gold and a Bronze with StrawberryFrog for Jim Beam and a Silver with Droga5 for Puma's "Blam! Blam!"
