Euro RSCG fired Jose Cabaco, its North American chief creative officer, last Thursday after just seven months on the job.

The move wasn't surprising to agency employees, as Cabaco was brought on by Esther Lee, the dynamic former Coca-Cola CCO who took the job as Euro's North American CEO this spring and left Euro in September after what was reported by AdAge as "a clash of egos in the C-suite."

Cabaco, who arrived in late April from a CD post at Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, was able to enact several noteworthy efforts, the first a finalist in Time's 'Time 100' cover design contest, the second a brand campaign for relaunch of The Atlantic magazine.

A representative from Euro RSCG confirmed Cabaco's exit, and that the position wouldn't be filled. Cabaco wasn't able to comment on the situation.
