Furniture Retailer Blu Dot Plays Musical Chairs on Twitter

Tweet for one of 100 seats, in effort out of Mono

Published: Dec 06, 2012

We've seen some ambitious campaigns around chairs, like this high-profile one from Facebook, but even before that, design-minded furniture and housewares retailer Blu Dot and Minneapolis agency Mono were doing plenty of innovative things around tushie furniture and social media, like the Real Good Experiment from 2009, in which they deposited 30 of its Real Good Chairs around NYC, dropping clues for where people could snatch them up over Twitter. This week, the pair launched what we believe to be the first-ever musical chairs game on Twitter, this time, giving away 100 of its new Hot Mesh Chairs.

Fans can tune into musicalchairs.bludot.com, where fans can see the chairs appear. . and disappear, set to music from Doppio. Once the music stops, a secret phrase will appear, which @bludot followers will then have to tweet with the hastag #bludot to stay in the game.
