Mino Jarjoura, 2013 Oscar-nominated Producer of the short film "Asad", has been named executive producer in the Los Angeles office of Hungry Man. Jarjoura joins Kevin Byrne (managing partner in New York) managing the Los Angeles Hungry Man office. Jarjoura opened the company's Canadian satellite from Toronto in 2001 and has worked as Bryan Buckley's producer for the past seven years, working out of every international office of Hungry Man worldwide, heading up film productions around the globe. He won an Emmy in 2012 for his commercial work with Ellen DeGeneres.
Butter Music and Sound has hired Mario Grigorov as West Coast creative director. In addition to scoring Shadowboxer, Tennessee, The Paperboy, and the Academy Award-winning Precious, Grigorov has also audio branded major campaigns for LEGO, Cymbalta, BMW, JCPenney, and more over the course of nearly a decade as the Owner and creativedirector of Los Angeles-based Siblings Music.
South African director Bernie Roux has joined Portland-based studio Bent Image Lab. Previously, Roux founded his own studio Lovebomb Animation, then later joined New Zealand animation studio Yukfoo in 2007 and then Stockholm's Against All Odds/Passion Pictures in 2010. His short film "This Crowded Thought" screened at "Best of the World" in the Hiroshima Animation Festival in 2012 and won a platinum Pixie in 2013. In addition to this Roux has won multiple awards for his commercials including a Silver Lion for his 2003 PSA for Childline entitled "Lucy Moonflower".
