LA has appointed Jerome Austria as EVP, group digital creative director for Volkswagen
. Austria, who has been working for the agency on a freelance basis since 2011, was the creative behind the 'The Bark Side,' VW's online teaser for this year's Super Bowl spot through the agency. Prior to joining Deutsch, Austria was co-executive director of Wieden+Kennedy NY. His career has also included working on the pitch team that won R/GA
the Nike digital business, jump-starting AKQA
's office in New York, and directing an interactive Nike commercial featuring Rihanna as well as a series of interactive video features for Martin + Osa. He has won over 50 awards, including Cannes Lions, One Show Interactive, the London International Advertising Awards, and the Clios, and was also named one of 50 winners of the ADC Young Guns 6 award.
Caviar is opening a London office in a joint venture with UK-based powerhouse Pulse Films, adding to the production company's existing offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Los Angeles and Paris. The move will make Caviar's roster of directors available to the UK market. Sadie Ward at Pulse Films will act as head of sales for Caviar's London office. Founded in 2005 by Thomas Benski, Marisa Clifford and Ian Bonhote, Pulse Films is a talent management and integrated content production company that creates content across different platforms.

has promoted Joe Alexander to executive creative director. Alexander has been with the agency's creative department since 1991 and most recently served as one of its six group creative directors, after beocoming the group creative director on Walmart
in 2011. During his time with the agency he has been responsible for spots including the American Cancer Society's More Birthdays campaign in 2009, directing Usher, Rihanna and Justin Bieber, and the recreation of the Apollo 11 moon landing, wechoosethemoon.org, which won five Cannes Lions. CP+B has promoted Mike Danko to associate creative director and Kate Hildebrant to executive poducer. Both are based in the agency's Boulder office. Danko (left) who has been with CP+B for five years, was most recently senior copywriter and was part of the creative team that won the Domino's account. He will now focus primarily on Domino's in his new role/ He contributed to last year's 'Ozzy vs. Bieber' TV spot and 'Sad Characters' campaign for Best Buy. Before CP+B, Danko spent time as a copywriter at Grace & Rothschild, Devito Verdi and Hal Riney.
Hildebrant has worked as a senior producer at CP+B for the past three years on projects for Microsoft

Art director/designer Mark Beacock has left Lean Mean Fighting Machine after six years to setup new creative agency Turned Out Nice Again. During his time at Lean Mean, Beacock worked on campaigns for brands such as Strongbow, Virgin Games, Emirates and Samsung
Mobile. He is joined in the new agency by creative partner Sam Willard and technical partner Tom Bur. Work so far includes an integrated campaign for International Herald Tribune and the team is currently working on a new site for WWF.
