Director Marco Gentile has joined The Institute, Michael Bay and Scott Gardenhour's commercial production house. Gentile won a Silver Lion at the 2010 Cannes International Advertising for his ode to the legacy of the rock star for Rolling Stone magazine. He has directed projects for Adidas, Mercedes Benz, Sky, Carrera and Tod's to name a few.
The Napoleon Group, the pre-visualization production/post studio led by founder Marty Napoleon, president Douglas Miller and creative director Ken Kresge (pictured), is set to relocate to New York's Flatiron district in January 2013. The company will occupy more than 14,000 newly-renovated square feet on two floors in what was once the corporate office for fashion designer Kate Spade at 48 West 25th St.
MAS, ("music and strategy"), has promoted founding partner and EP James Alvich to the role of managing director. Alvich created MAS along with music vets Gabe Hilfer and Jim Black. The studio recently wrapped a music partnership with Kate Spade New York featuring the Vivian Girls that included talent procurement, Facebook development, a battle of the bands campaign/contest and film production.
