Refinery29: Today's Mad Fashion
In the run-up to AMC's Mad Men Premiere the fashion site pays tribute to modern day ad movers
By: Ann-Christine Diaz, Published: Mar 22, 2012Joining the host of media outlets (ourselves included) anticipating AMC's long-awaited premiere of Mad Men Season 5, fashion site Refinery29 takes a look at the threads and digs of real stars of Madison Avenue--none of which, it turns out, have offices on Madison Avenue. Included in the piece are Mother COO Pernilla Ammann, Droga5 Creative Chairman/Founder David Droga, Wieden + Kennedy, N.Y. MD Neal Arthur and ECDs Ian Reichenthal and Scott Vitrone, Grey Executive VP/ECD Mark Schwatka and Kevin Egan, senior copywriter at Ammirati.
According to Annie Georgia Greenberg, New York editor at Refinery29, the feature "introduces our readers to the real advertising stars of NYC, debunking some Mad Men myths and giving them a slightly voyeuristic look at the lives of some advertising heavy hitters, their ultra-creative offices, and of course, their personal style."
Check out a few of the featured images and quotes below. All photos are by Daniel McMahon, courtesy of Refinery29.

(He's referring, of course to the 2006 Cannes Cyber Grand Prix-awarded "Still Free" for Marc Ecko.)
