R/GA Named Webby Awards' Agency of the Year

In its 13th year, the Webby Awards announced today that R/GA is its first "Agency of the Year." According to organizers, the new honor aims to "recognizes the most successful agency across all Webby categories, including, interactive advertising, websites, mobile sites, and online film and video."

R/GA picked up eight awards for work that included Nike SPARQ in the Rich Media: B to C category, NIKEiD in the Best Retail category, and Nike Football Head2Head in the Game or Application category.

Other multiple award-winning agencies include New Zealand's Hyperfactory with six, Goodby Silverstein and Partners won three, while Wieden + Kennedy, 42 Entertainment, Holland's Achtung!, Japan's Less Rain, Grow Interactive, Razorfish, Atmosphere BBDO and Clemenger BBDO all picked up two awards each.
