What Does Einstein's Brain Look Like?
National Museum of Health and Medicine turns the genius' brain into an iPad AppPublished: Sep 27, 2012
Every wondered what a genius's brain looks like? Now you can find out. The National Museum of Health and Medicine, Chicago, has turned Albert Einstein's brain into an iPad app. The app contgains digitized images of nearly 350 brain slices taken from a collection bequeathed to the National Museum of Health and Medicine Chicago in 2010. (And it's all available thanks to a certain pathologist, Thomas Harvey, who in 1955 removed the brain, originally without permission, during an autopsy.) All profits from the sale of the app (priced at $9.99) will support the Department of Defense' s National Museum of Health and Medicine in Silver Spring, Maryland, as well as the NMHM Chicago.
