For crime cable network 13th Street, BETC needed to reach out to media agencies to tell them about the channel's audience metrics -- and how successful their buys would be. A direct mailer with a twist was sent out to media buyers -- in the package were a few bullet shells, plus a shooting range target poster that represented the audience demo they were trying to target, with bullet holes already inside it. An accompanying link brought the recipients to a special site, which showed the marketing folks at 13th Street shooting bullets with worrying precision.
