Most agencies will be quietly on the lookout for new creative recruits at Cannes, but at least 180 LA is being completely brazen about it. The agency sneaked ads, posing as "case studies," in front of jurors this year by entering them into the film, direct, radio and press categories.
The film seen here (entered into the direct awards) explains the agency is looking for a "badass creative director" and mentions certain jury members by name -- for example Eva Santos, creative director at Proximity Barcelona, who tweeted: "A case study just called me by name and offered me a Job. Great idea @180LA #canneslion #lionsjudging."
Meanwhile Claudio Lima, VP creative director at Y&R Bravo/Miami, tweeted: "Hey @180LA thanks for the offer in the middle of the judging process. Lol. I'll call monday."
