A surreal spot directed by The Glue Society for drinks brand 1882 in Argentina follows an unusual rendition of the number 1882. The ad shows an anxious crowd of 1,882 awaiting the arrival of a nine metre pen lid, lowered by a helicopter. Once they have chewed that to pieces, their nerves are then placated with a giant fingernail. Meanwhile, two guys drinking 1882 (a Fernet brand) calmly watch.

The commercial, through Madre Buenos Aires, was shot at an airfield in Buenos Aires by Oscar-winning cinematographer Russell Boyd (Master & Commander).
