An Awesome Singing Toddler Demonstrates How Fast an Auto Service Can Fix Your Car

Spot by Adam & Eve/DDB Promotes AA's Claim to Get You Help in 30 Minutes

Has Adam&Eve/DDB just discovered a new child prodigy? An apparently supremely talented toddler sings along to Tina Turner's "Proud Mary" in the agency's new spot from U.K. car breakdown service the AA.

The little girl mimes to the song, with lots of actions, from her car seat as her father drives her to the airport. When the car breaks down, the AA van is there, has fixed the problem and they're on their way again before the song's even finished (and, presumably, there might have been a tantrum).

The spot, directed by Traktor at Rattling Stick, promotes the AA's claim to have a mechanic with you within 30 minutes of breakdown. While clearly, in reality, all of that is not going to happen during one Tina Turner song, it's a fun way to illustrate the message.

In case you're wondering how the baby's singing looks so realistic, post company The Mill has an explanation. The mouth singing in the spot does not belong to the girl featured in the ad but has been replaced with a more mature child's mouth who is, in fact, the one singing. The Mill's VFX team composited the 2D elements that made up the baby's mouth which appears on screen and added further replacement body plates to enhance the baby's dancing movements. The team had to swap the teeth of the original baby back into the replacement mouth to maximize authenticity.

Mill shoot supervisor and 2D lead artist Dan Adams explained: "Our task was to subtly enhance and augment specific aspects of the baby's body as well as complete a full, highly complex mouth replacement, all while ensuring her actions still felt as natural as possible, enabling the fun and clever concept of the ad to remain at the focus."

Those of you who've had DirecTV baby withdrawal, maybe this charmer will be your fix.
