Action Against Hunger: Love Food, Give Food

Turning dinner parties into donations.

UK charity Action Against Hunger has created the Love Food, Give Food brand through Dare, to encourage foodies to turn their passion for food into positive action against hunger.

There are two promotional elements to the brand; 'Eat In' and 'Eat Out'. The 'Eat In' campaign, running throughout the summer, encourages people to hold dinner parties at home, for which invitees are asked to contribute a donation to Action Against Hunger through Just Giving. If they sign up to host a dinner party at the Love Food, Give Food website, Action Against Hunger will provide hosts with a Dinner Party Pack including invites, name cards and recipes from top chefs.

'Eat Out' meanwhile will take place between 1st September and 31st October and appeals to restaurants, pubs and cafes to add the 'Love Food, Give Food' logo to their menus. Diners will be encouraged to eat at over 500 participating restaurants, which will make donations to the campaign. Both elements are being advertised via outdoor campaigns.
