airBaltic: Seat Buddy

What's your mood?

Published on Jun 07, 2012

Editor's Pick

airBaltic jumps on the seat-picking bandwagon with 'Seat Buddy,' an intelligent assigned seating system that lets you pick your mile-high companion based on the mood you're in. Passengers on airBaltic register with the program (created by Satisfly) and indicate their 'flight mood.' (We're not sure if 'fear and dread,' which is the mindset we generally fly in, are options.) The system will then pair you up with someone in a similar mindset, like 'easy chat' or 'business networking.'

Previously, KLM debuted 'Be My Guest,' which let you choose your fellow passenger by checking out LinkedIn and Facebook profiles.
