Airbnb Explores Travel Challenges Faced by LGBT Couples in Spot for Pride Month

Sensitive Film From Molecule Acknowledges Things Are Still Far From Perfect

Airbnb has created a film for Pride month that makes a passionate case for LGBT couples' freedom to travel without discrimination. San Francisco agency Molecule helped create the spot, which interviews several LGBT couples about the challenges they've faced historically, and still today -- from the gay couple who were too afraid to tell the hotel in Hawaii that they wanted to share a bed, to the transgender lesbian who doesn't know how people in small town America would react if they knew the truth about her. The message is that while things have improve enormously, there's still work to be done, and rather than ramming Airbnb's anti-discrimination work down our throats, the beautifully-filmed ad simply ends with the slogan, "We look forward to a world where all love is welcome."
