Poke built a twitter system that allows bakers to twitter what's coming fresh out of their ovens--and communicate with their customers in real time. The setup uses arduino technology to enable tweets via a dial and button system, instead of by mobile phone or laptop. The bakery-proof box sends messages wirelessly to all the bakery's Twitter followers. The baker can program what items are on offer beforehand via a Web interface, so that when the items come out of the oven, he or she only has to turn a dial and push a button to alert Twitter followers. Poke installed the first Baker Tweet system in Albion Cafe, a bakery in Shoreditch London.
