Published on Nov 30, 2015 Editor's Pick Discount retailer Aldi is known for its cheeky ads -- particularly in Australia and in the U.K., where it often compares item prices in an amusing way. Now it's being particularly mischievous with a parody of the recent John Lewis "Man in the Moon" spot, featuring an old gentleman comparing the prices of two telescopes. One is sold at John Lewis and of course the other is a cheaper version sold at Aldi. But the gift that's coming with the balloons -- in the form of Jean Jones, a "granny" who has appeared in previous Aldi ads -- is the best Christmas present of all.
