Watch a Bunch of Londoners Control an Android Via Twitter

Holographic Robot Responds in Real Time to Requests

Editor's Pick

To promote Fox's Almost Human, the sci-fi TV show produced by JJ Abrams, UKTV's Watch channel gave Londoners the opportunity to command a holographic image of an android in real-time via Twitter. People on the streets of Soho were invited to command the android (projected holographically onto an empty store front) via Twitter using the address @DroidDoThis. Tweet commands included: "Breakdance","Do the Macarena", '"Scratch your bum" and "Rub your nipples" (athough more risque requests such as "Masturbate for me" or "Take your trousers off" earned a disapproving shake of the finger from the android). Tweeters received a Vine of the android's response to their request tweeted back to them.Whilst the experience was unbranded, users were directed to the UKTV website and YouTube channel via links in social channels. Joint London was responsible for the activity.
