The 2006 Kelly Awards winners were announced yesterday in New York, and these heat treatments for 'toids cinnamon gum, featuring the work of New Yorker cartoonist Matthew Diffee, grabbed the Magazine Publishers of America's $100,000 Grand Kelly prize. Among other winners, the Axe "How Dirty Boys Get Clean" campaign, from BBH/New York, won a Gold Kelly (click here to see the work); the Nike "My Butt is Big" ad, from Wieden + Kennedy/Portland's Nike Women campaign, took, yes, Best Spread (click here for that); and American Express and O&M/New York won Best Multiple-Page Campaign for the "My Life.
