'Firefly' Program Recognizes Objects, Lets Users Purchase from Amazon

A few weeks back, Amazon was teasing us with this video in which people appear to be playing with something really, really fascinating. Now, we know what it is. The company unveiled its smartphone, the Amazon Fire Phone, yesterday in Seattle. Its key features include 3D visuals and gesture controls (the cameras will allow the phone to recognise head gestures from users to change the display) as well as software called Firefly that allows users to point the phone at an object (such as a book or CD) and then buy it from Amazon.
