AMC has installed a "Mad Men" bench featuring the show's well-known silhouette of Don Draper outside New York's Time-Life Building as it prepares to launch the final series of the show on April 5.
The installation, designed by Pentagram and based on the now iconic image from the show's opening titles, will be in place until the end of this summer. Street signs reading "Mad Men Ave" and "Don Draper Ave" also mark the location. The Time-Life Building is the fictional home of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce in the series.
On its website, Pentagram says fans are "welcome to "drape" themselves on the bench like Don, and take and post photos. (Call it #Draping.)"
Other recent marketing efforts for the show's final season include a Restaurant Week-style promotion in New York City and a Facebook app that allows you to insert yourself into Don Draper's famous Kodak Carousel pitch.
