Residents of New York are likely famliar with the bi-annual event Restaurant Week, in which diners are able to partake in special discounted prices for lunch and dinner at top restaurants in NYC. AMC has teamed up with the City of New York to launch its own special dining week to celebrate the final season of Mad Men, during which restaurant-goers are invited to "dine like it's 1969."
Thirty-four restaurants around the city will be offering special two-course prix fixe menus inspired by the show -- or just two cocktails, at the discounted price of $19.69 (a nod to the era in which the show takes place).
Restaurants that were around back in the day, such as the 21 Club, Delmonicos, P.J. Clarke's, Barbetta, are part of the promotion, along with newer establishments including the Tribeca Grill and the NY-themed Urbo.
