That's the assessment of cow farts as compared to cigarette smoke, a connection neatly illustrated in the American Legacy Foundation's new banner ad for the "Truth" anti-smoking campaign. The fact that cigarettes and gassy bovines both emit unhealthy amounts of methane gas was first demonstrated in the TV spot "Cow," which featured Marlboro Men riding a herd of cows down Wall Street. Agencies Arnold Worldwide and Crispin Porter + Bogusky plucked one of those cows, animated it and stuck it on roller-skates, resulting in a fart-filled banner that directs visitors to the campaign's website at thetruth.com.
