This Middle Aged Guy Is Stripping for a Reason

Campaign From Peru Has a Serious Message

Published on May 12, 2015

Editor's Pick

In this spot from Peru, a middle aged guy is stripping, dressed in a pair of skimpy red briefs and a firefighter helmet, in what looks like a fairly seedy nightclub. We might chuckle, but not by the end when we see him counting his earnings, real firefighter uniform hanging up in the changing room.

The campaign, by Quorum Saatchi & Saatchi Lima, is an awareness campaign for the AABV (Asociación Amigos de los Bomberos Voluntarios), an association for Peru's voluntary firefighters, who are not financed by the state. The aim is to make viewers realize that if they don't donate, firefighters might be forced into other kinds of employment.
