Last year, Australia's ANZ Bank transformed the ATM experience into an uplifting statement to celebrate the bank's partnership with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. The GAYTM (which won the Outdoor Grand Prix at Cannes, and we at Creativity voted our number one campaign in Print/Outdoor/Design last year) dispensed rainbow-colored receipts and displayed screen welcome messages such as "Cash out and proud."
As a follow up fo this year's Mardi Gras, agency Whybin/TBWA is expanding the GAYTM outside Sydney, and letting people all over Australia vote for where they want the next installment. To ramp up the excitement a little, there will be just one, dubbed: "The Only GAYTM in the Village." People can vote via the website until February 20. In the first week of March the winning town will wake up with a GAYTM installed under the cover of darkness.
