Everyone Wants a Piece of What Granny Has in Apple's Golden Globes Ad

A Granddaughter's Picture Travels Far in Brand's Cute Spot

During the Golden Globes ceremony last night, Apple debuted this charming ad about how a granny's photo goes viral -- but not in the way you'd expect.

In the spot, a young woman goes to visit her "Yaya" in Greece and takes her photo with her iPhone 7. Her fellow townsfolk are so impressed with the picture that they enlist the granddaughter to take their pictures too, and ultimately, she ends up having a "working" vacation as the village photographer.

A lot of the work is done, however, through the phone's "portrait" mode, which allows the user to take professional, DSLR-like shots from the device.

The ad is set to the song "Pame sti Honolulu" by the Bezos Hawaiian Orchestra.
