ASICS America creates another experiential promo with help from agency VITRO. Late last year, curious New Yorkers were put in elite runner Ryan Hall's shoes. Sort of. While those participants felt what it's like to run at high speed on the eve of the New York City Marathon.
This week, the sports brand promotes the ASICS World Series of Beach Volleyball -- which ends this weekend -- by providing the experience of facing off against Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings. The agency delivered a high powered volleyball cannon for people to test their skills and, for the most part, they're on the receiving end of some pretty powerful spikes to the face. Beautifully shot volleyballs to the face.
Plus, the close-up camera angle has viewers wincing as though they've taken the hit themselves.
