Amazon's Audible celebrated the release of the audio version of best-selling graphic novel series Locke & Key, written by suspense novelist Joe Hill, at this year's New York Comic Con with a virtual reality experience plunging attendees into Hill's creepy world.

The VR experience was built entirely in CG by digital agency Firstborn, which matched the novel's artwork by Gabriel Rodriguez to a 360-degree audio experience using some of the novel's cast of voices including Haley Joel Osment ("The Sixth Sense"). A share feature allowed attendees to share clips from within the headset of their own VR experience with friends and across social. The clips are a split-screen video capture of the view from within the Oculus and the user's own reaction to what they are seeing.

For those not at New York Comic Con, there's also a YouTube 360 degree video.
