JWT Singapore's New Line of Wearables Will Keep You Safe

Guardian Angel Pendant or Bracelet Triggers a Call When Pressed

Published on Apr 28, 2014

Editor's Pick

JWT Singapore has created "Guardian Angel," a personal safety line of accessories that can be worn as bracelets or pendants. When the wearables are "clicked," a call is triggered to the wearer's phone that can act as an excuse to get away from an uncomfortable moment, like, perhaps, a really boring date -- or something more sinister. But more significantly, if the button is pressed for three seconds, an SOS text message is sent to a designated number, which provides coordinates and a Google Maps link to the wearer's location.

The accessory doesn't require the designated contact to download an app or even a smartphone. It is sold online at this site, with 10% of each sale going to the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE) .
