A simple and functional project from the creatives at BBDO lets you directly help the small businesses that were affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. IStandBuy.Org lets you pick an affected area in the New York region, and what you want to buy -- bread, or breakfast, for example. Then, the site offers up the stores that provide those goods so you can go and spend your money where it will be put towards rebuilding the affected businesses. An accompanying social media component lets you tweet or Facebook your pledge to head there, so you can help spread the word. The site has been endorsed by the Business Marketing Association of New York (BMANY) and Visa.
