This Talking Beagle Worries About Insurance So You Don't Have to

Daniel Kleinman Directs First Spot in a Humorous Campaign for Beagle Street

Editor's Pick

U.K. insurance provider Beagle Street has enlisted top comedy director Daniel Kleinman of Rattling Stick and agency VCCP to create a humorous brand campaign featuring a talking beagle. But it's not just about matching the brand name to the animal: the idea is that the beagle, Jeremy, is the "world's most worrisome dog" -- and frets about insurance, so that his owner doesn't have to.

In the first of a series of comedic spots, Jeremy removes any risk to his beloved owner's life by throwing out all of his trousers, after hearing that people have died from trouser-related accidents. It's an amusing spot, and an idea that could go far (especially since beagles have comedy form -- Snoopy, most famously.)

Beagle Street, an online life insurance brand, is part of the BGL Group, which includes CompareTheMarket.com; VCCP created the long-running "Meerkat" campaign for that brand.
