Here's a direct marketing showcase from last month's John Caples International Awards (www.caples.org), a finalist in the Out of Home: Consumer category. The work touts motorcycle racing and the British Speedway Grand Prix in a variety of imaginative ways, including revolving doors and wet-floor caution signs, all with a general obsession with going 80 mph. The endearing headline, "Bring the wife along. You won't be able to hear her anyway," is nicely balanced by, "It's what's between their legs that counts." Vrooom!
