As the U.S. prepares to celebrate Independence Day, British gin brand Boodles is urging the nation to turn the clock back to 1775 and "Make America Britain Again."

In answer to President Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan, Boodles -- ignoring the fact that the U.K. has suffered four terror attacks and a killer tower block inferno already this year -- insists on claiming superiority over Britain's former colony.

In a film by PR agency Exposure, a very British butler urges America to "Go back where she belongs, in the arms of Her Majesty the Queen," while ironing a series of posters. The butler declares, "In recent months it's become clear to me that America needs an experienced and steady hand to re-chart its current course… Now is the time to renounce independence and bring America home… All is forgiven."

We see him putting up posters bearing the same messages: "Make America Britain Again," "All is Forgiven," "American Come Home," and of course, "Boodles Proper British Gin." The campaign urges Americans to sign an online petition to "Make America Britain Again" -- and win a trip to London.
