To catch the attention of World Leaders during the UN General Assembly and the Millennium Development Goals summit in New York, Johannes Leonardo and Google/YouTube are taking to the streets of Manhattan to support the Born HIV Free campaign and the Global Fund. The agency is sending out campaign envoys to key N.Y. intersections, where they will hold up mock road signs featuring disturbing HIV facts to encourage the elimination of HIV by 2015. Each of the signs features a statistic related to its respective location. The effort also includes a promotion on Google Maps, linked to facts about mother-child HIV transmission at corresponding areas, and a YouTube channel.
