Editor's Pick

Budweiser doesn't seem like the obvious brand to create a Mother's Day ad (Mom, fancy sitting back with a six pack on your special day?) but it's stepped onto the bandwagon this year with a spot about NBA player Kevin Durant and his mother.

Somewhat in the vein of P&G's "Proud Sponsor of Moms" work, but with a more light-hearted touch, the film, by VaynerMedia, features Durant's mother, Wanda, delivering a voice-over of motherly advice juxtaposed by on-court NBA action. For example, set to appropriate footage from games, she tells us how he listened to suggestions such as "always share, clean up after yourself and stand up straight." It ends with an emotional moment as Durant pays tribute to her, saying "Mom, you're the real MVP."
