Burger King is all about its patties being flame-grilled -- an idea that, with some agency ingenuity, has found its way onto an ugly Christmas sweater.
Burger King France and Paris-based agency Buzzman teamed with a French hipster apparel portal, Rad.co, and emblazoned a tacky holiday sweater with a fireplace motif. You're supposed to fire up your smartphone with a video of flames, and when you slip it into a pocket on your belly, it looks like there's a holiday fire roaring away in a fireplace.
The sweater also bears the words "flame grilled" and a hamburger pattern, as well as the obligatory pine trees and snowflake motifs. It costs 29.90 euros, or about $32.
Kitschy-sweater afficionados may recall another holiday campaign from back in 2013. That year Coca-Cola and Droga5 launched the "Coke Zero Sweater Generator," allowing people to create a customized holiday jumper online. The 100 sweaters with the most votes were handcrafted and sent to their creators.
