When BuzzFeed posted a satirical piece by writer James Hannaham last week, purporting to be Donald Trump's speech notes, the article credited "Tiny Hand Font" for the typography.

The font was in fact created at BuzzFeed and is based on Trump's real handwriting. As deputy art director (news) Ben King explains in a blog post, he did some initial research on Trump's writing and discovered that "Trump's notes, written to friends and enemies alike, were almost always written at an angle, scrawled on top of printouts of articles from the internet." King was also struck by the peculiar way Trump wrote the alphabet.

Typographer Mark Davis was charged with turning this idiosyncratic style into a font, with variants for many of the letters. BuzzFeed News is now making it available to the public, and those interested can download the font here.
