Jason 'Khal Drogo' Momoa Directs Madison Bumgarner in Carhartt's Latest Manly Man Ad

Brawn's on Both Sides of Camera for Brand's Recent Musclebound Push

Editor's Pick

Workwear brand Carhartt, which has been serving up advertising with an ultra manly message, delivers another musclebound spot starring San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner chopping trees. On the other side of the camera, Jason Momoa (perhaps best known as an actor playing brawny roles like Khal Drogo on "Game of Thrones" and soon, the new Aquaman), directed the ad out of his production company, Pride of Gypsies, during the off-season at Madison's ranch in North Carolina.

According to the brand, Carhartt's film crew followed Madison around his ranch shooting him doing typical, everyday chores without a script. There's also a documentary-style Youtube film in which he discusses how tough it is to be a baseball player and a rancher.
