Carl's Jr./Hardees has a new menu offering -- but instead of turning to the buxom, scantily clad babes that have been some of its primary endorsers, the fast feeder took to the streets of New York instead -- and tapped those familiar faces that line the city's sidewalks: pretzel vendors.
To promote its new Pretzel Breakfast Sandwich, the restaurant chain and agency 72andSunny sicced hungry citizens on the pretzel cart guys. They asked them if their pretzels happened to come with sausage, egg and cheese (the fixings that make up the Carl's sandwich) -- and they got the sort of response you'd expect from a grizzled, no-B.S. NYC street vendor.
The Pretzel Sandwich is a partnership with soft pretzel franchise Auntie Anne's and includes a soft pretzel role, sausage patty, egg and American and Swiss cheese.
