Most tabletop shooters take pains to make sure they're not reflected in what they're shooting, of course. But London-based Kulbir Thandi took pains toward quite the opposite end in this Cascade "Now That's Clean" print campaign from Saatchi & Saatchi/New York. In fact, the notion of shooting "dirty," so to speak, in order to communicate "clean," got him genuinely excited, he says. "I shoot a variety of subjects, and I'm used to shooting clean-looking images and controlling the reflections, but to arrange a shot so you could see yourself clearly was quite a challenge. A careful selection of china and glass props was sourced by the stylist," with an emphasis on shapes that "would be ideal for reflections," he explains. "When shooting a still life we would normally dress in black or dark colors and keep the light away from us so as not to reflect anything. But by moving in close and keeping the area behind us bright white, we were almost silhouetted
