Why Have the Chick-Fil-A Cows Listed Their Barn on Homestay?

They're In Hiding Because Sunday Is National Burger Day

Is everyone trying to rent out their homes to make a quick buck these days?

First the whole country of Sweden put iself on Airbnb. Now, the Chick-Fil-A cows have listed their barn in Georgia on Homestay as "The Sooper Cozy Cowz Barn."

The reason behind this, according to the campaign by McCann NY, is that this Sunday, May 28, is National Burger Day, so the cows (who have spent decades reminding people to "Eat More Chicken") have gone into hiding.

The barn, which sleeps six, comes with a barn-keeper, a piano, an in-barn theater and, rather spookily, a barbecue. But perhaps guests won't really need the latter since during their stay, they'll get free Chick-fil-A catering twice a day, including the new Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich.

The barn will be cow-free from May 23 through May 31, but unfortunately, the listing says it's already fully booked for the period. The first guests, Chrissy Arpie and her family, have been sharing on social about their experience, so you can see what you've been missing.

According to Chick-fil-A, this is the brand's first-ever all-social campaign. Within the first 48 hours of the campaign's launch, Chick-fil-A received more than 1,500 submissions. It also saw an increase in Facebook engagement since the campaign launched on May 1 and has earned more than 2,500 new fans on Facebook and Twitter (@EatMorChikin) since the cows checked out last week.
