Editor's Pick

Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman, the directing duo behind the film Catfish, recently released a short documentary on Metropolis II, a kinetic sculpture created by artist Chris Burden. Burden's miniature city exists within a 20'x30' space and is result of four years of work. It features 1,200 Matchbox toy cars reaching speeds of up to 200 scale mph on a multi-tiered labyrinthine structure of mini highways.

Joost and Schulman provide the audience with numerous close ups of the tracks, insight from the creator himself and end with a point of view ride on a train inside the sculpture itself.

Metropolis II will open at the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art(LACMA) this Fall.
