Citroen UK's DS4seekers is an online and mobile platform competition that uses Google mapping to create a multi-player game of hide and seek with the Citroen DS4.
Using their smartphone, players can both hide and seek virtual Citroen DS4s using both Google Maps and Google Streetview, with points earned for hiding and finding cars. Each point gains an entry into a draw to win a DS4. The more points players collect, the more chances they have to win. They need to 'like' the brand on Facebook in order to play.
Creative use of online mapping seems to be increasingly popular for auto-makers. Mini ran a similar promotion in Sweden last year through Jung von Matt, and also used mapping in a French gaming app last month.
