Hide From Your Friends On 'Anti-Social Network' Cloak

App Blocks People You Want To Avoid On Foursquare And Instagram

Published on Mar 19, 2014

Editor's Pick

Cloak, a new app developed by programmer Brian Moore and Buzzfeed's former creative director Chris Baker, is proclaiming itself as the "anti-social network." It hides your online presence on Foursquare and Instagram, but only from those you want to avoid -- exes, frenemies or just nosy parkers. The app brings up a map displaying the user's location and the locations of friends who have checked in nearby. If there's someone they want to avoid, they simply select "flag" and the app will alert them when that person gets within a certain radius.
