" 'How come no one throws parties anymore? Isn't the ad community supposed to be fun?' We've all heard this around Minneapolis for quite a while," says Colle + McVoy CCO John Jarvis. "Heck, we even asked it ourselves for a long time. And since it's been a while since anyone in town has brought the local ad community together, and since Colle + McVoy just won the Minnesota State Lottery account and made a few key hires to signal our change in direction, we thought we'd take matters into our own hands." So Colle + McVoy hosted "The Party" at Tonic of Uptown in Minneapolis on Sept. 29, but first they took the party promos into their own hands via the three wonderfully cheesy teasers seen here. As for the party itself, "we had an absolute blast," Jarvis claims, though apparently no one required the services of a bail bondsman. In fact, we doubt few required the services of even a babysitter. "The Party" ran from 6-9 p.m.
