Published on Oct 26, 2009 Editor's Pick Columbia Sportswear recently launched A Box Life, an eco-friendly initiative that gives online customers the option to receive their purchases in used boxes. Each box is labeled with a QR code that allows buyers to track where the package has traveled. Customers can also post pics and share stories of their box's journey on aboxlife.com. Since the effort launched last month, 433 consumers have participated, using 228 boxes that have traveled more than 275,000 miles.
