If the end of summer and back-to-school routine has got you hating your commute once again, you're not alone. U.K. car insurance comparison website Confused.com did a survey that found that one in three (34%) U.K. commuters would move house for a better drive to work and one in five (21%) say better scenery would improve the journey.

To highlight these miserable statistics, the site created its own virtual reality film that showcases, in glorious 360 degrees, the "World's Best Commute." This, apparently, is in Norway, on the scenic Atlantic Ocean Road -- where there's little traffic and gorgeous views of snow-peaked mountains.

The campaign, created by Rubber Republic, is available to experience using VR headgear via the Jaunt virtual reality app, or on-screen in 360 view. It will be promoted on social media targeting VR fans, although others without a headset can watch too.

The film takes drivers on a 5.2 mile commute along the Atlantic Ocean Road as we hear from residents who use this route daily. It's definitely enough to make you jealous and want to jack in your job for a remote island somewhere, although presumably Confused.com is counting on you not to do that, so you can go on dreaming and perusing its car insurance quotes.

Nevertheless, Amanda Stretton, motoring editor at Confused.com, says optimistically in a statement: "While most motorists are not fortunate enough to have a commute which drives them through the middle of the ocean, there are some beautiful drives across the U.K. By getting up a little bit earlier to avoid the rush and making a short detour via your favourite local route could make your commute more bearable."

We're not sure she was thinking of southeast London on a wet Monday morning, but it's a nice thought.
