Corona Celebrates 90th Birthday Along With Its Mexican Spirit

See How Mexican Beer Became a Global Brand

Editor's Pick

To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Corona beer and Leo Burnett Mexico created a spot starring an ageless man born in Mexico who personifies the beer's route to becoming a global brand as he explores and conquers the world without borders. In the 1970s, he crosses into the U.S., then changes continents and is seen cycling in Amsterdam and ballooning in Switzerland. Later he exclaims at the big waves and "massive rats" (really kangaroos) in Australia. The Mexican spot was shot by production company Landia and directed by Rodrigo Saavedra.
