Craig Small: Bibliomat
A book for a toonie.
Toronto's "The Monkey's Paw" is an cute, curious little bookstore that carries some pretty awesome stuff. Craig Small, a friend of the bookstore's owner, Stephen Fowler, built a large book-vending machine for the store. Put in a couple of bucks, and a random book will be dispensed -- a cuter, artistic alternative to the sidewalk discount books bin. The book is dispensed, with much whirring and clunking, also adds an old-world charm to the whole thing.
